I can pretty much guarantee Peter would have had quite a lot of criticism about Kamala, but he hated 'ol Trumpy. As for Bob, I agree. It was an early and wise move in his career. he was almost destroyed by any affiliation to politics to begin with. I used to enjoy Right Wing Bob, because you got to admit, some of Dylan's statements could go either way. And to quote Bob via whatever source:
Now, I’m liberal, but to a degree
I want everybody to be free
But if you think I’ll let Barry Goldwater
Move in next door and marry my daughter
You must think I’m crazy!
I wouldn’t let him do it for all the farms in Cuba
"There was no point arguing with Dave (Van Ronk), not intellectually anyway. I had a primitive way of looking at things and I liked country fair politics. My favorite politician was Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater, who reminded me of Tom Mix, and there wasn’t any way to explain that to anybody. I wasn’t that comfortable with all the psycho polemic babble."
I have another theory about 'ol Bob that one day I'll write about. I think he's a fan of Walter Kirn.
Thank goodness Bob has had the good sense to rise above party politics, even if many of his fans clearly do not.
