For me, John Wesley Harding always stood out for the super bass playing .....I later discovered the player was Charlie McCoy the same Nashville cat that did the beautiful mirror guitar on Desolation Row. In the beginning I remember the clarity of the bass and the casual incredible drumming. I remember being surprised that there was a song title with St Augustine in it as we had studied Augustine and Aquinas. I remember how Hendrix rocked out Drifter's Escape. And Frankie Lee was one of my early songs I learned on guitar.
