Masterpieces is one weird collection, originally done in Japan for Bob Dylan's 1978 tour. It was originally vinyl only and side 3 now part of disc 2 in the compact disc version had some rarities, the biggest being the version of Mixed Up Confusion, different than the single and Biograph, “Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" (Liverpool '66) (which was the b-side to the single of "I Want You"), “Spanish is the Loving Tongue" from the single, not the Dylan album, and "Rita Mae" was also a single and George Jackson the big band version. Many of the live tracks are from "Hard Rain" including
"You're A Big Girl Now," and "Lay Lady Lay." "Like A Rolling Stone" is from Isle of Wight.
